A business in south Cumbria has pledged its support for emergency service workers in the region.
On Tuesday, October 8, the Ulverston Meat Company announced that it would now be offering a 5% discount for all Blue Light Card holders going forward.
Anyone looking to make use of the discount need only show their card in-store to get the benefits on their selection of products.
A spokesperson from the company commented: "Your hard work and dedication in serving our communities deserve recognition, and we're here to support you."
People who are eligible for Blue Light Cards come from a range of organisations, including the police, fire service, ambulance service, rescue groups, the coastguard, and the army.
This also stretches to teachers, social care workers, community first responders, prison workers, and NHS staff.
