A TURKISH and Mediterranean cuisine takeaway is 'working with the council' after receiving a one-star food hygiene score.
Kapadokya, on Dalton Road, Barrow, received the score after being inspected by Westmorland and Furness Council on July 31.
While its food hygiene and safety was marked as 'generally satisfactory,' it received 'improvement necessary' for its structural compliance and 'major improvement necessary' for confidence in management.
The council said on October 9 that if the business were to apply for a re-inspection it would likely receive a higher rating. It added that after it gives a low rating it works with the business concerned for a period to advise on measures to address and remedy issues identified.
A spokesperson said: "The council has been working with this business since the original inspection and a number of improvements have now been made.
"The council is now anticipating that the business will apply for a re-inspection, when we hope to see these improvements reflected in a higher rating.’’
