Barrow business gets second Mail award nomination of 2024

In September, we launched the 'Best Beauty Salon 2024' award to promote the people who are bringing a touch of style to the region.

Our readers were invited to nominate the businesses they felt were deserving of the accolade, with 10 finalists selected from those results.

Voting has been taking place since the start of last week and will be open until Saturday, October 12.

We return to Barrow for what is the last in a series of special features where Jo Grainger has been welcoming customers at Coco Hair and Beauty for over a decade.

She said: "The whole team are really appreciative of the nominations and lovely comments - we love that our clients voted for us.

"The salon is going from strength to strength and we are constantly evolving, introducing new and exciting services."

The salon, found at 202 Dalton Road, first opened its doors in 2013 with Jo having been a key figure of Barrow's town centre for 19 years.

She joined the team at Barrow Business Improvement District in December last year, looking to use her passion for the town to help other businesses.

Back in July, Coco Hair and Beauty was nominated for the Mail's 'Best Hairdresser 2024' award with the team now hoping that it can go one step further this time around.

Jo added: "Myself and my team are always going above and beyond to ensure our clients have a wonderful, professional, caring experience in both salons, every single time they step through the door."
