A WOMAN is due to appear at a crown court after she was accused of assaulting a man.
Tracy Cherry is alleged to have assaulted the man by beating on March 3.
The 58-year-old appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court having been charged with the offence.
Her case was sent for trial at Preston Crown Court.
The defendant, of Barrow's Lord Street, is due to face a plea and trial preparation hearing at the court on October 10.
She has been bailed with conditions.
