AN 'UNTAXED and uninsured' car that evaded police officers has been found parked in Windermere.
On Sunday, October 6 at 5.43pm South Lakes Police saw a car being driven on Victoria Street 'in a manner that caused suspicion.'
The police said that the driver evaded officers but the Peugeot 206 was found shortly afterwards parked on Beech Street, Windermere.
The car was seized and is now off the road. A spokesperson said: "Just because you leave your vehicle unattended does not mean our officers cannot and will not take positive action when it comes to road traffic offences."
The police asked anyone with information to contact them on 101, quoting log 187 on October 10.
