The Mayor of Barrow will be swapping her usual attire for judge's robes next month for a new fundraiser.
Councillor Judith McEwan, who took on the position back in May, will be residing over the 'Lock Up Your Boss' event on Friday, November 8 at Barrow Town Hall.
This new event has been organised by St Mary's Hospice, and will see people nominate their bosses for so-called 'crimes' to spend some time behind bars - all to raise vital funds for the charity.
After announcing the news on Sunday, October 6, a spokesperson from St Mary's commented: "Her Honor will preside over the fun-filled day of fundraising, ensuring justice is carried out for a great cause—supporting hospice care in our community.
"We can’t wait to watch the bosses stand trial under Mayor McEwan’s watchful eye."
If you have a boss that you would like to nominate, then there is still time to do so by visiting the website here.
