A beauty salon in Millom is reflecting on its 'amazing' years of business after getting an award nomination.

Last month, The Mail launched the 'Best Beauty Salon 2024' award to promote the people who are bringing a dash of style to the region.

Our readers were invited to nominate the businesses they felt were deserving of the accolade, with 10 finalists selected from those results.

Voting has been taking place since the start of last week and will be open until Saturday, October 12.

To compliment the voting window across the fortnight, we have been running a series of special features to shine the spotlight on each of the finalists.

We return to Millom on this occasion, which has been well represented throughout the competition.

Found in the centre of the Cumbrian town on St George's Road is Innovation Hair and Beauty, which was opened by Sally Gibson over a decade ago.

She said: "We are thrilled that we have been nominated among the top 10 beauty salons in Furness.

"After 14 amazing years, we’re grateful for the support of our incredible clients - thank you for being part of our journey and choosing us.

"Thank you so much to all those that have voted."

Having grown to be an established business on the Millom scene, the salon and the team there are known for an injecting a sense of glitz and glamour into the local area.

One frequent customer commented: "You are always made to feel welcome.

"I go to the lovely Amber to have my eyebrows waxed and for massages, and the equally lovely Ann for my hair cut."

"It's a great hairdressers and a very friendly place," another local added.
