A THIEF who stole expensive meat from a convenience store in Barrow has been sentenced in court.
Debbie Paisley, of Gradwell Court, Barrow, pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to stealing nine packets of steak belonging to the Co-Op on Abbey Road on August 27 this year.
South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court heard the meat had a total value of £60.
The 38-year-old was fined £120 in court on October 2, as well as being ordered to pay every penny back in compensation to the store.
No order for costs were made.
