A group from Barrow has seen their recent fundraiser for a nearby charity blossom into success.
This came after members of Barrow Island South Allotments sold their carefully grown fruit and flowers to show their support for St Mary's Hospice, which is based in Ulverston.
The sale was hosted by The Navy Club on Ramsden Dock Road back in August, with the hospice revealing earlier this week that their efforts have brought in hundreds for the charity.
A spokesperson from St Mary's said: "Meeting the committee members was so nice, and to receive a cheque for a whopping £605 - it's just marvellous.
"We are still in shock - thank you just doesn't quite cover it."
It is just one of the most recent examples of fundraising seen at The Navy Club, which also hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning that brought in over £700.
