An emergency road closure has been put in place in South Cumbria, due to a gas escape.
Ulverston Town Council has announced an emergency road closure because of the likelihood of danger to the public from gas.
Lightburn Road, from its junction with the Prince's Street, is closed in a easterly direction for around 60 metres.
This notice is expected to be in force for up to 21 days, starting on Wednesday October 2.
When the relevant signs are displayed, the restriction will be observed.
This could be in place up to Tuesday October 22.
There is an alternative route via Prince's Street, A590 County Road and Victoria Road.
A way for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and access for Emergency Vehicles will be maintained at all times.
