Members of the local community came together yesterday to refresh the look of Barrow Town Centre.
A number of people from the 'amazing' businesses surrounding Portland Walk came forwards to lend a green-thumb.
Roughly 30 people took part from various local businesses, including Footwear and Fascinators, Coffee D'ash, Cavendish St Social Club, St David's, Careers Inspiration Hub, Bumblebee at the Hive, Vision Support, GrimefightersUK, Dapper Delights and Furness Multicultural Forum.
They joined Barrow BID in refreshing the planters, helping to bring some flowers and greenery to the streets.
The planters were being refreshed ready for the winter as the summer bedding plants were coming to the end of their flowering season.
In a post on social media, Barrow BID thanked those who offered help with the planting.
Paul Hodgson, BID Project Manager said: "It was great to see so many businesses come together to help refresh the planters on Portland Walk as part of our community planting scheme. A massive thank you to everyone who took part and to B&Q Barrow for the kind donation of all the plants."
The group had a 'bloomin' great time!'
