A MALE teenager on a bike 'threatened a group of young people while carrying a blade' in Barrow town centre.
At 9.14pm yesterday two teenagers reportedly behaved in a threatening manner towards a group of young people in the Crellin Street area. One of the people on the bikes was carrying a blade, it is alleged.
The two – both male and in their mid-teens - were arrested at locations in Barrow following a police operation today and remain in custody.
Anyone who has any information can contact Cumbria Police on 101, referring to incident 229 of October 1.
The arrests form part Operation Enhance, which is targeting anti-social behaviour and serious violence in hotspot areas across the county.
