Cumbria Police are investigating a crash that resulted in a pedestrian visiting the hospital.

Police are appealing for information following a collision involving a blue car and a pedestrian on Lamplugh Road in Cockermouth.

The incident occurred earlier today, at around 7.45am on Wednesday October 2.

It happened near the Stan Palmer Honda site.

The pedestrian, a woman in her twenties, went to hospital to be checked – but is not thought to have suffered life-threatening or life-changing injuries at this time.

The driver of the car did stop to speak to the pedestrian but then reportedly left without leaving details.

Officers are asking for the driver to come forward – and for anyone who saw the incident or has relevant dashcam footage to contact officers, referring to log 42 of October 2.
