A business in Barrow is on the brink of success just over a year since it first opened its doors.

Last month, The Mail launched the 'Best Beauty Salon 2024' award to promote the people who are bringing a dash of glamour to the region.

Our readers were invited to nominate the businesses they felt were deserving of the accolade with 10 finalists selected from those results.

Voting is now taking place for two weeks up until Saturday, October 12 and you can make sure your voice is heard by picking up a copy of The Mail before the deadline.

We return to Barrow in this feature, where Megan Pincock has been sharing her passion for beauty with residents through MEGAesthetics on Cavendish Street.

She said: "Being nominated means the world to me - aesthetics is my passion, and to be recognised as one of the top beauty businesses in the Furness area is an incredible honour.

"It reflects the hard work and dedication we’ve put into creating a space where clients can feel confident and beautiful."

Megan originally studied nursing at university, though always dreamt of one day opening her own clinic.

"For six years, I rented rooms in salons, but I always envisioned creating a clinical, safe space dedicated solely to helping others feel empowered through beauty.

"In August last year, I finally opened my own clinic in Barrow, fulfilling that dream."

Since that point, Megan and her team have become a well-loved addition to the local area.

"I’ve been able the clinic into a thriving business with a team of seven talented women who are delivering 5-star treatments to our clients," Megan added. 

"I couldn’t be prouder of them and their individual successes.

"We’re committed to continuing our growth and development, always striving to provide the best care and treatments for our clients."
