A luxury boutique B&B in Cumbria has achieved a Five Star rating from VisitEngland.
Grange Manor, located in Grange-over-Sands, is one of only six B&Bs or guesthouses in Cumbria to secure this prestigious accolade.
The B&B opened earlier this year following a £750,000 redevelopment by owners Red Door Escapes.
The Five Star accreditation is only awarded to guest accommodation that meets the highest standards of experience, from the greeting on arrival to food, furnishings, and fittings.
Grange Manor is set within two and a half acres of gardens and woodland on the outskirts of the popular Cumbrian coastal resort.
VisitEngland described Grange Manor as comfortable and stylish, with excellent breakfasts delivered to the rooms.
Five Star VisitEngland accredited B&Bs are expected to anticipate individual guests' needs to create unique and memorable experiences.
They must have excellent interior design and furniture, a wide range of high-quality accessories in each room, and be surrounded by well-maintained, attractive gardens and grounds.
Margaret Denby from Grange Manor said: "We are delighted to have received the Five Star accreditation from VisitEngland.
"It is a rare accolade and one that we have worked hard to achieve.
"It’s a reflection on the efforts of the whole team at Grange Manor who go above and beyond to give each of our guests a memorable stay."
Grange Manor, surrounded by secluded woodland, is a popular choice for those seeking peace and the sounds of nature.
Research earlier this year identified an impressive 53 varieties of birds in the gardens.
The eight bedrooms are named after some of the birds identified, including Garden Warbler, Goldcrest, Tawny Owl, and Brambling.
Five of Grange Manor’s eight luxury rooms have a private garden with a hot tub, and each terrace has a bird feeder for guests to enjoy watching the birds.
Dating back to 1800, Grange Manor was one of the first houses built in Grange-over-Sands before the village was transformed into a health resort in the second half of the 19th century.
It was used as a private home until just after the Second World War when it became a hotel.
Ms Denby said: "Our mantra at Grange Manor is serenity and calm.
"Because we are located at the end of a quiet lane, disturbance from the outside world is minimal, so it all makes for a perfect rural escape."
Red Door Escapes now has a total of four properties in Grange, with Bay Villa B&B and Woodhaven and Hampsfell self-catering cottages on the same lane as Grange Manor.
The secluded woodland setting of Grange Manor is a perfect base from which to explore the area’s culinary scene.
The village of Cartmel is just minutes away, where the three Michelin Star restaurant L'Enclume and the one Michelin Star Rogan & Co are located.
Even closer is the one Michelin Star Heft at High Newton.
Grange Manor is also ideally located for the Cartmel Races and close to attractions including Windermere Lake Cruises, Holker Hall and Gardens, and Beatrix Potter’s rural retreat Hill Top.
