Two men completed an 'incredible' 24-hour loop of Coniston's Old Man as they prepare for a trip to Mount Everest.
Mike Browne and Mike Lewis took on the challenge between Friday, August 20 and Saturday, August 21.
In the process, they covered seven loops of the mountain, involving 38 miles of hiking and 13,680 feet of elevation.
They put themselves through the ordeal to ensure they are ready for an Everest expedition in April next year.
They also used it as a fundraiser to back their approaching trip, as well as to add to the money they are raising for St Mary's Hospice, which is based in Ulverston.
The pair have currently set themselves a target of £5000, which they are hoping to meet by the time April rolls around
