A BARROW man has been ordered to pay compensation to two men after assaulting them.
Alan Chapman, of Dumfries Street, pleaded guilty to two counts of assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court.
Court documentation shows the offences took place in Barrow on October 7 last year.
On September 25, Chapman received a 12-month community order with one requirement of completing 200 hours of unpaid work following the outcome of a pre-sentence report.
The 55-year-old was also ordered to pay £250 compensation to each victim.
Owen Chapman, of Eversley Walk in Nottingham, was sentenced to an eight-week custodial sentence suspended for 12 months after also admitting two section 47 assaults on the same day in question.
Magistrates ordered the 25-year-old to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and to pay £850 in compensation to his two victims.
