A business in Millom is looking to keep on growing following its recent award nomination.
Earlier this month, The Mail launched the 'Best Beauty Salon 2024' award to promote the people who are bringing a dash of glamour to Furness.
Our readers were invited to nominate the businesses they felt were deserving of the accolade, with 10 finalists selected from those results.
Voting is now taking place for two weeks up until Saturday, October 12 and you can make sure your voice is heard by picking up a copy of The Mail before the deadline.
To coincide with the voting window, The Mail will be running a series of features on each of the business, pulling back the curtain on the people who have turned their salons into a big success.
To start the campaign, we are on the road to Millom where Tia Mawson has created The Beauty Hub on Wellington Street thanks to a love affair with all things beauty since her childhood.
She said: "I started off doing beauty the second I left school because I always had a passion for it with being a girly girl.
"So I decided to get an apprenticeship and begin my college course at Furness College for my level 2, and then Kendal College for my level 3.
"I did my apprenticeship at Eden Beauty Rooms and the standards within this salon is exactly how I wanted my clinic to look, feel and be for my clients."
Tia's career has seen her train all around the UK in areas such as London, Shrewsbury, Liverpool and Scotland.
"I am that therapist that is always looking for the next best thing to train in, not just sticking to the basics, which my clients love about me," she said.
"My business has grown so much over the five years, from working two days a week when I started to being full six days a week.
"To be nominated in the top 10 means the absolute world to me and my business, it really does - I can’t thank everyone who voted for me enough."
If you think that Tia and The Beauty Hub deserve the award, pick up a copy of The Mail by October 12 and cast your vote.
