A bakery with sites across south Cumbria is looking to inspire the next generation of writers.
Grange Bakery launched its Halloween competition on Thursday, September 26, which will accept submissions up until Thursday, October 28.
The scheme will see kids aged between five and 12 come up with their best spooky stories - as long as they are 200 words or less and accompanied by a small picture.
The winner of the competition will win a 'monster cake' big enough for all the family to help add some flavour to their Halloween celebrations.
Grange Bakery has shops in Barrow, Ulverston, Grange-over-Sands and Flookburgh, with submissions being accepted at any of the sites.
Parents are asked to write a contact number on the back of the story so that the eventual winner can be told of their success.
