THE RSPCA will host a music bingo night today (Friday, September 27) to fundraise for the Furness and Barrow branch.
Many of the members work at the shelter, on Church Street, on a volunteer basis.
The branch will host the night in the upstairs section of The Derby Inn on Dalton Road at 7.30pm. There will also be a raffle.
The branch cares and rehomes animals that come to them from the RSPCA inspectorate. It also provides welfare assistance through a voucher system for members of the public on certain benefits and/or low incomes.
They provide veterinary and financial assistance to animals most in need on the Furness peninsula. It is run by a committee of trustees who are all volunteers.
