A new group is launching later this year to keep Ulverston town centre clean.
Organised by Ulverston Business Improvement District, the new 'Weed It and Pick It' sessions will start on Sunday, November 3, running from 10am to noon.
The decision comes on the back of the success seen by Ulverston BID as they competed for a Britain in Bloom award.
With judges from the national competition coming to the town, 16 volunteers made sure the centre was spruced up to give them the best chance of winning.
This has prompted residents to ask whether it can become a more regular occurrence, with Ulverston BID obliging that request.
Refreshments and equipment will be provided for all those who get involved, and the BID has asked people to declare their interest ahead of November so that enough resources can be supplied.
If looking to join the group, you can email admin@ulverstonbid.org.uk.
