POLICE officers called the army after finding explosives in an Ulverston address that had been abandoned for nearly 20 years.
South Lakes Police were searching the property on September 24 after they received reports of youths breaking in.
They found explosive products that had been left by the previous occupant.
The Ulverston officers called the army to dispose of the explosives, which they then did in a nearby field.
