An upcoming event is bringing together churches in Furness for a collective day of celebration.

Ulverston Praise is set to take place on Saturday, October 12 and will see a range of events happen throughout the day at various locations in the community.

The event will began at 8am with an early morning prayer at the Hoad Monument, or at Ulverston Parish Church if the weather is not on their side.

From 10am, young creatives are invited to visit Bethany Christian Church on Lightburn Road for a Lego building session.

The Emmanuel Christian Centre will be hosting an apologetics seminar and a 'connections cafe' from 10am, allowing people to support several local causes.

The centrepiece of the day is at Market Cross between 2pm and 4pm with live ambient music coupled with drinks, wine tasting and activities for children.

The event will come to a close at Ulverston Parish Church at 5pm for 'pizza and praise', combining singing and worship with tasty food.
