A new scouting group that has been set up in Barrow will open its doors for the first time next week.
The Barrow Explorers Unit will host an open evening at Scout Hall on Park Drive on Thursday, October 3 between 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
The group is on the look out for more 'enthusiastic young adventurers' aged between 14 and 17, and 'fun-loving' adult volunteers to get involved.
Being an Explorer is all about having new experiences, 'doing things you never thought possible and gaining new skills', all whilst making friends and memories that will 'last a lifetime' along the way.
Those who attend the open evening will be able to take part in activities to get a taste of what scouting is like, as well as learning what it means to join a unit.
People are encouraged to register their interest for the event by filling out the form here.
