The call-out came after the volunteers had been out on crag training all day.
A spokesperson for Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team said: "On Sunday evening at 11:10pm we were called by Cumbria Police to search for a missing 79-year-old woman who had not returned from a walk.
"Four search teams and a drone team were deployed, along with two dogs from Lake District Mountain Rescue Search Dogs.
"The casualty was located at around 1:50am in the morning with a broken wrist. She was then taken to a North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust ambulance.
"A busy weekend, but a very good outcome, and we wish the casualty a speedy recovery."
The call-out was the second that weekend after the team was called, alongside Wasdale MRT, to a missing runner on Saturday (September 21).
Luckily, the runner was found whilst the team was en route.
