A kitten that is being fostered in Barrow may have been 'killed by dogs' if she wasn't promptly rescued.
The two-year-old feline, nicknamed 'Lucky', was abandoned and thrown into a garden at around six weeks old, according to the Furness branch of the RSPCA.
After arriving in England on September 15, the cat made the long journey to Barrow from Hector's House, a not-for-profit organisation and dog and cat shelter in Crete, Greece.

Speaking on its Facebook page, a spokesperson for the RSPCA Furness and Barrow Branch said: "Thankfully her crying was heard and she was taken inside. There were dogs in the garden, so if they had found her, they would have killed her, she was then named Lucky.
"Lucky travelled from Hector's House Crete last weekend and has settled straight into her foster home.

"She is used to cats and dogs but not young children, she likes to have a wander so she needs a home away from busy roads.
"She is very affectionate, she will purr as soon as you stroke her, she loves to sit with you and has a good appetite."
Lucky is neutered, vaccinated, chipped, FIV negative and has been treated by a Barrow-based vet. The adoption fee is £100.
