PLANS have been lodged to convert a house of multiple occupancy (HMO) in Barrow into two HMOs.
RK Co-Living Ltd has submitted plans to Westmorland and Furness Council to convert an eight-bedroom HMO at 36-38 Hartington Street into two seven-bedroom HMOs.
Planning documents show each bedroom will have an en-suite bedroom and both properties will have a kitchen/ lounge area.
A management statement submitted with the application says the conversion will be to a ‘high specification’ and tenants are thought to be single working people.
It adds: “On-street parking is available on Hartington Street and in the surrounding area however public transport links are in close proximity and there will be a secure storage area for bicycles.”
The planning application is undergoing public consultation.
