The recent Ulverston Charter Festival drew to a close this weekend after a hotly contested competition.
The 2024 Charter Festival Bowling Trophy was held at the Glaxo Bowling Club on Saturday, September 21, with 32 players from four local clubs battling it out.
The final saw Chris D'Leny and Steve Peters trade blows with Steve eventually bowling the winning wood to claim a 21-20 victory.
Steve was presented with his hard-earned trophy by Deputy Mayor Councillor Shirley-Anne Wilson.
Barry Collins, Chairman of Glaxo Bowling Club, said: "Our thanks to all the bowlers who helped out on the day and those Glaxo members who prepared the green in excellent condition for the competition, and to Ulverston Town Council for supplying the trophy and refreshments.
"We now hand over the baton to Lindal Bowling Club, who host the 2025 competition, and hope you have a successful day which we had."
