PLANS to convert office space into flats in Barrow town centre have been given the green light.
Westmorland and Furness Council has determined prior approval is not necessary to convert office space on Dalton Road into two self-contained flats.
Planning documents say the proposed development is located on the first and second floors of 179 Dalton Road and both flats will have one bedroom.
According to planning documents, the property is in a ‘sustainable location’ with access to public transport links and a range of shops.
The application forms add the property has direct access off the road and there is public open space close to the proposed dwellings which can be enjoyed by any future residents.
This application was decided on September 19.
