Both teachers successfully completed their National Professional Qualification of Senior Leadership (NPQSL).

This 18-month programme for senior leaders with cross school responsibilities will help to further strengthen leadership within the school.

Chief Executive of South Cumbria Multi-Academy Trust Professor Andrew Wren congratulated them both.

“We want to provide an excellent education for our pupils and professional development programmes such as the NPQSL ensures our staff are equipped with leadership skills and latest sector knowledge to support us to continue to drive up standards across all our schools,” he said.

Chetwynde is getting ready to hold its annual Open Evening for prospective nursery, primary and secondary school pupils, which will take place on Thursday September 26 between 5pm and 7pm.
