A LAKE District takeaway has been given a new food hygiene rating.
The Walnut Fish Bar at Millans Park, Ambleside has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
The score was given the score after assessment on August 13, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
The hygienic handling of food including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage was rated 'Very good'.
The cleanliness and condition of facilities and building including having appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control to enable good food hygiene was found to be 'Good'.
And the management of food safety was 'generally satisfactory'.
Of Westmorland and Furness's 220 takeaways with ratings, 146 (66%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
