People are being invited to have a look around eagerly-awaited luxury apartments set to open in Ulverston.

Plans were approved in 2023 to convert the grade II-listed Lonsdale House Hotel on Daltongate into 13 suites after the property was bought by the Cameron Investment Group three years prior.

Workmen have been busy renovating the historic building to both modernise it as well keep and restore some of its stand-out features such as its grand staircase, sash windows and elaborate cornices.

Speaking on Facebook, Neil Cameron, CEO of Cameron Investment Group said: "After many months of refurb I am delighted to say that Lonsdale House will be opening this week!

"Thank you to everyone who has shown an interest in what we've been doing! We are opening our doors to the Ulverston community on the afternoon of 25th September and would welcome members of this group to come along and have a look around."

To celebrate the grand opening, the company is hosting an event 'open to all' on September 25 between 4pm and 6pm at 111 Daltongate.
