Cumbria Police attended an incident on the M6 last night.
The M6 was fully closed northbound from J41 and fully closed southbound at J42 and 43.
Officers were called to the incident at 8.06pm on Saturday September 14.
They said: "The road may be closed for some time, drivers are asked to seek alternative routes."
According to the police traffic map, the road is open again.
