Barrow's community litter pick 'reached new heights' this week as shown by one dedicated volunteer.

The event, organised by Barrow Business Improvement District, happens several times throughout the year with dozens turning out to this month's clean up.

Volunteers met on September 12 at the Spirit of Barrow statue beginning at 2pm.

One man went 'above and beyond' Greggs to get the town centre clean.

The man can be seen up a ladder reaching above the bakery's sign with a litter picker.

A post on the Barrow BID Facebook page said: "Our community litter pick has reached new heights

"Thank you to all who came down yesterday and helped tidy our streets!"
