AN annual family-friendly outdoor exhibition focused on climate change, water and all its possibilities is taking place this month.
Art Gene's exhibition That Wet Stuff (and other things) is taking place on Saturday 21 September at Allotment Soup: the Isle of Walney Community Growing Space.
The exhibition features final art works by Art Gene's 2024 artists in residence, Anna Clough and Jenny Steele, alongside a day-long programme of water focused activities.
There will be talks on water ecologies, seagrass restoration and earth construction, featuring: Art Gene's Creative Gardener, Bethan Pettitt; Cumbria Wildlife Trust; Cella Collective; and ecologist Jenny Holden.
All this alongside film screenings, campfire poetry and artworks by Art Gene's artists.
Free, plant-based Allotment Soup-grown lunch and supper will be provided, prepared by their local cook Russ Dean.
The event is free, including hot meals, and it will run from 1pm to 8.30pm.
