NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to seven of south Cumbria's establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.
The following ratings have been given to three restaurants, cafes or canteens:
• Rated 5: Choccobar at Unit 57/58 Quarry Rigg, Lake Road, Windermere; rated on September 3
• Rated 5: Cafe Olive at 3 Stramongate, Kendal; rated on August 29
• Rated 5: Dusty Millers at Dusty Miller Cafe Gleaston Water Mill, Gleaston, Ulverston; rated on August 28
And three ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:
• Rated 5: Fell End Caravan Park Restaurant at Fell End Caravan Park, Hale, Milnthorpe; rated on August 29
• Rated 5: Britannia Inn at Penny Bridge, Ulverston; rated on August 28
• Rated 5: General Burgoyne at General Burgoyne Inn, Church Road, Great Urswick; rated on August 28
Plus one rating for a takeaway:
• Rated 5: Eat Indian Kendal Ltd at 5 Stricklandgate, Kendal; rated on August 20
