WATER company United Utilities is investigating after 'raw sewage' flooded onto a Walney road during a recent downpour.
Colin Sharpe lives on Black Butts Lane which has had 'consistent' issues with flooding over the years.
X account 'Walney Island' has taken video of flooding incidents on September 2, and August 14 last year. The Mail has written articles about flooding on the lane in August 2019, September 2021 and November 2022.

United Utilities blamed the flooding on hydraulic capacity.
Mr Sharpe said: "Whenever there is a period of inclement weather that place is flooded. With prolonged severe weather events occurring more frequently on the back of general climate change, this becomes more of an issue.
"It's not happening every week but when it does happen it's serious." He said the stakeholders involved in the road have never 'worked collaboratively towards a solution.'

In an email to the council highlighting the issue, Mr Sharpe alleged that there was 'raw sewage' on the road and called this a 'consistent issue at times of inclement weather.'
A United Utilities spokesperson, said: “There was intense rainfall that caused the sewer network to become overwhelmed for a short period of time. Our teams are now carrying out further investigations into the performance of the network and we’d like to apologise to residents for the inconvenience caused.”
In 2021, Black Butts Lane flooded despite there being no warnings issued by the Gov.uk website.
Two years before that, the road was left 'barely passable' after heavy showers.
United Utilities is responsible for public sewers that take sewage and rainwater run-off to wastewater treatment works.
The council is responsible for road gullies, which drain surface water from the highway.
