SOUTH Lakes Arts Collective will run a new arts exhibition called 'Turning Tides' in the Dock Museum in Barrow soon.
The exhibition will be on from October 12 to January 5. Caitlyn Woolf has produced a film that will be on show during the exhibition.
"This is something that the group hasn't accommodated before so it is a big leap forwards," collective member Tim Leeson said.
The collective said the artists have produced a mix of work that can satisfy those who look at art on a visual basis and those who enjoy 'wrestling with conceptual art.'
"The theme has not been taking too literally and there are various topics that are touched on - environmental concerns as well as spiritual themes but there are many pieces which can be interpreted in many different ways," Tim said.
The guest artist will be Lucy Wickens from Manchester. "Lucy is a very popular and highly accomplished painter who has an international following her work is in private collections world wide," Tim added.
He said that her art is inspired by landscapes, especially the coastlines of Cornwall and Cumbria.
