In a post created on the Barrow Panto Facebook page three weeks ago, the company said it was 'shocked and devastated' to learn their beloved Christmas pantomime would not be able to go ahead in the main theatre.
The company said it would be looking at its next steps over the next few weeks and would hopefully have an update by the end of the month.
Now, it has announced that it will be revealing the title of its new Christmas pantomime on Friday (September 13).

Speaking on its Facebook page, a spokesperson said: "With The Forum main auditorium being shut until at least March, we are excited to be announcing our alternative Christmas Pantime title THIS FRIDAY or should we say Christmas Santamime.
"Here’s what we can confirm..
"• The show WILL still take place within the forum building in our temporary theatre we are creating, named ‘The Platform 28 Theatre’
"• Each performance will be able to seat 200, so we will be adding more performances from 5th - 24th December
"• Priority WILL be given to people already booked for Sleeping Beauty to swap before general tickets go on sale (including schools) - the venue will be in touch soon
"• The show WILL still feature everything you would expect from a pantomime.. singing, dancing, beautiful costumes, lots of laughs for the whole family.. and a bloke in a dress
"This Christmas will certainly be one to remember and we can’t wait for you to board with us for a pantomime experience like no other. Choo choo, all aboard."
The rest of The Forum, including the café and studio/meeting rooms, has been unaffected by the closure and will remain open and available to the public.
