A returning event in Barrow will be giving locals the chance to show off their dogs this weekend.
The Barrow Pooch Fest, organised by Barrow Business Improvement District, took place for the first time last year and will be delighting the public once again on Saturday, September 14.

It will be happening at Barrow's Outdoor Market from 1pm.
It will cost £2 to enter your dog into one of the varying classes.
The money raised through the event will be split between the Animal Refuge and a hardship fund at Wild Side Vets.
The classes available are: pedigree dog, pedigree bitch, crossbreed, veteran (seven and over), rescue/rehome, brace (any pair of dogs), best condition, puppy, waggiest tail, sausage catcher, and the championship round.
It was said to be a great 'success' last year, especially in terms of bringing people to the town centre, and the team will be hoping it can repeat the trick this time around too.
