A South Cumbrian town held its annual celebrations yesterday (September 7) of over 700 years of market heritage.
Ulverston's Charter Family Fun Day saw all kinds of fun including dog shows, crafts, magic, music and much more.
The free event was to celebrate the day the town was granted a Market Charter by King Edward I back on September 11, 1280.

The town has kept its strong tradition of weekly markets held on Thursdays and Saturdays.
This year saw an excellent turnout with families enjoying the live music, entertainment, magic shows, games, balloon modelling, free henna, stalls and activities.
Also on display was Lily' the Victorian Street Organ, model train rides, inshore rescue boats and plenty of walkabout characters.
Ulverston Mayor Graham Scrogham was in attendance and had the important job of being a judge of both the family dog show and the craft competition.
"They were very difficult decisions to make," Mr Scrogham said. "For the craft competition, the task was to create a model market stall.
"The entries were really good and different from children ranging from two to around ten years old. They were really fantastic so it was hard to choose.
"The winner was a girl who had created a really intricate pet stall. She had modelled two guinea pigs the size of your fingernail which were perfect representations of her own pets - absolutely fantastic."
Mr Scrogham also brought along his dog Charlie to help with the difficult categories in the dog show which included 'prettiest' and 'most handsome' dog, 'best collar or bandana' and 'dog the judge would most like to take home'.
He said: "Charlie helped me make my decisions such as 'dog with the waggiest tail', 'best trick' and 'most beautiful' etc. Unfortunately, he did mortify us at one point by doing a big poo in front of the crowd - which paid homage to the adage 'never work with live animals and children' -it was very funny though.
"The whole day was fantastic with great weather and of course, the day is about celebrating when Ulverston got the market Charter.
"There was a great selection of stall holders, some of which I hadn't seen before.
"Well done to Katie Moore and Jules Kennedy at Ulverston Town Council for organising such a wonderful day."
