The Forum Theatre in Barrow has thanked its customers ahead of tonight's Will Young show after it had to be moved due to the discovery of asbestos.

The performance, which is set to go ahead this evening (September 7), had to be relocated to Ulverston's Coronation Hall after the toxic substance was discovered backstage on July 26.

Many events have had to be moved including Ireland: The Show, Emilio Santori as Elvis  and The Lady Boys of Bangkok.

The Forum Theatre has now thanked its customers for their patience during the moving process.

Speaking on the Forum's Facebook page earlier, a spokesperson said: "As I am sure you can appreciate, they are two very different venues, and it is not an understatement to say that the amazing staff at both the Forum and the Coro have worked tirelessly to ensure this major show could go ahead for everyone who is looking forward to it so much!

"This process is continuing as we seek to make arrangements for many of the other events scheduled at the Forum over the next 6 months and we ask that you continue to bear with us.

"Anyway, all that’s left is to say we hope you have a great night and thanks again for all your support!"

More travel information to the event can be found on the Forum Theatre's Facebook page.
