COMEDY actor Antony Howes will perform a one-man rendition of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream in Windermere for his friend with MS.
Celine Tonnet lives in Windermere, and uses her wheelchair to get about. Antony, who has starred in Doctors, Casualty and Emmerdale, decided to take his show to her rather than her coming to him.
"We met a few years ago through friends," Antony said. "We've been good friends for ages."
He said it would have been a 'long way to come in a chair' for Celine to see him perform with The Rat Pack in Blackpool on Saturday September 14.
The MS Society stages meetings every week at Sandgate School in Kendal, which Celine attends as part of a community.
Antony's resume includes performances at the West End along with Bernard Cribbins for Lady Be Good, and in Me and My Girl on Broadway in the United States.
He was also involved in the Ant n' Dec Zig and Zag shows in the 90s.
For this show, he will be performing at The Ladyholme Centre on Saturday 7 September at 7pm. Tickets are £9.50 with cheese and wine available and a charity raffle. All proceeds will go to the MS Society.
