It would have been Dave Myers' birthday today, with people in Barrow encouraged to celebrate his life once again.
The Hairy Biker, who passed away in February following a two-year battle with cancer, would have been turning 67 today (September 8).
It is a time for reflection and mourning, but also a day for celebrating the legacy Dave has left behind.
Marking the occasion, his wife Lili commented: "It all comes down to why and how one gets to be on their own - there is a process to understand it, to process it, to let it settle, to accept it, to reinvent and move forward.
"My answers at this point are focused on learning to live and grow so that I can fill that void left when I lost Dave.
"Fill that space up so I don’t limp anymore but at the same time, taking him with me on my journey."
To celebrate his birthday, we have compiled a list of five moments that made us fall in love with Dave, which is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his beloved status.
5. Posthumous recognition by the county
Just this week, Dave was recognised at the Cumbria Life Awards, which named the Hairy Biker as the Cumbrian of the Year.
A standing ovation was one of the highlights of the evening, a sign of the adoration that people still feel for him.
4. Christmas special breaks hearts
In December last year, 'Coming Home for Christmas' was released by the Hairy Bikers, chronicling Dave's fight with cancer and his return to the road.
More recently, this was named as the TV moment of the year at the Edinburgh TV Festival.
3. Dancing his way into people's hearts
In 2013, Dave shimmied out of his comfort zone and reached a whole new audience when he decided to sign up for Strictly Come Dancing.
Dancing alongside professional Karen Hauer, he managed to reach week seven of the BBC competition.
2. Where it all began
It would be remiss to celebrate Dave's career without looking back on the programme that started it all.
In 2004, two motorbike lovers appeared on TV together for the first time in the Hairy Bikers' Cookbook.
It would be a journey across Europe that saw Dave meet his wife Lili, with the pair marrying seven years later.
1. A Barrow celebration
In June, tens of thousands of motorbike enthusiasts rode from London to Cumbria to celebrate the life of Dave and raise over £127,000 for charity.
The event has captured the nation's heart, with plans currently in the works to see it return next year.
