Dozens of lots across Cumbria went under the hammer this week, including a couple of plots of land.
Starting at noon on Thursday September 5, Auction House Cumbria held an event at The Halston Hotel on Warwick Road in Carlisle.
These pieces of land in Furness were sold off to the highest bidder…
Lot 19 was a plot of land adjacent to The Cedars, on Abbey Road in Dalton, which appeared at auction with a guide price of £15,000.
This parcel of land is approximately 0.6 acres in size, enjoys a rural location and is mainly made up of woodland.
The estate agents said buyers are required to make their own enquiries regarding any planning permission.
It is described as an ‘excellent’ investment opportunity.
It sold for £47,000.
Lot 49 was a plot of land including a pier, at the western end of Parklands Drive, Askam-in-Furness, which appeared at auction with a guide price of £5000.
It offers ‘fantastic’ views of the Irish sea and western Lakeland fells and was originally constructed to serve the Iron ore mining industry.
This is a ‘unique opportunity’ to purchase approximately one acre of land overlooking the Duddon estuary.
There is a gap from the mainland to the pier and a bridge has been installed to link the two.
It sold for £7,500.
