It’s Auction Day! This afternoon, dozens of properties across Cumbria went under the hammer.
Starting at noon on Thursday September 5, Auction House Cumbria held an event at The Halston Hotel on Warwick Road in Carlisle.
We’ve rounded up all the Barrow properties that were sold successfully…
Lot seven was house number 34 on Abercorn Street, which appeared at auction with a guide price of £35,000.
While it requires some updating, this property has a ‘good’ location close to BAE systems.
The ground floor comprises of a vestibule, lounge, kitchen and shower room, with two bedrooms and a WC on the first floor and an enclosed rear yard outside.
The estate agents described it as an ‘excellent’ first time or investment purchase.
This property was sold for £35,000.
Lot nine was house number 12 on Derry Street, which appeared at auction with a guide price of £28,000.
This ‘spacious’ two-bedroom terrace property requires renovation and has been stripped back to the brickwork, ready to refit.
The current ground floor layout includes a hall, with a lounge that opens up into the dining room, with a kitchen, rear hall and potential garage.
Upstairs you will find two bedrooms and a bathroom.
The estate agent describes it as an ‘ideal’ investment purchase for a developer or investor.
This property sold for £32,500.
Lot 15 was house number 39 on Argyle Street which appeared at auction with a guide price of £40,000.
This mid terrace property is ‘in need of works’ and located close toa number of local amenities and convenient transport links.
The ground floor includes a hall, plus an open plan lounge area and dining room, as well as a kitchen and utility room.
There are two bedrooms and a bathroom to the first floor, with a rear yard outside.
The estate agent said it is in need of updating.
This property sold for £63,000.
Both Lot five, Flat Number 7 on Thames Road, Walney, and Lot 11, Flat number 53 on Anchor Road were withdrawn prior.
