A MOUNTAIN rescuer received an unexpected gift after finding hikers stranded for 12 hours near Grasmere - a Taylor Swift 'Eras Tour' bracelet.
Langdale Ambleside Team member Phil received the memento from the relieved hikers as something to give to his daughter.
The team received a call from Patterdale Mountain Rescue at 9pm on Tuesday evening (September 3). The two hikers had reported themselves lost while descending from Grisedale Tarn.
The walkers were eventually found about 1km from the road. The rescuers were able to spot their torch light as the team made their way up Tongue Gill.
"Having been out for 12 hours, enduring some tough conditions, and now into darkness, they were very happy to see us and in good spirits," a spokesperson said.
"Jackets, water and snacks were provided before walking them off the hill. Once back at the vehicles team member, Phil, cracked out the flask of hot Vimto, where in exchange he was presented with a gift, an 'Eras Tour' bracelet to give to his daughter," the spokesperson added.

The team said they 'now had a Swiftie' as there had been no confirmation that the bracelet had been passed on to the intended recipient.
Taylor Swift recently made history when she became the first solo artist to perform at Wembley Stadium eight times in a single tour, breaking a record previously held by Michael Jackson for his Bad Tour in 1988.
She closed out the European leg of her billion-dollar Eras Tour on Tuesday, September 20.
The US singer is known for her fondness of the Lake District. Her song 'The Lakes' is a bonus track from her 2020 album Folklore, and the chorus states: "Take me to The Lakes where all the poets went to die.
"I don't belong, and my beloved, neither do you. Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry.
"I'm setting off, but not without my muse."
