TEMPERATURES are set to soar in Furness.
After days of miserable weather, the sun will come out and temperatures will hit 24 degrees Celsius in Barrow on Friday.
On Saturday it is predicted to hit 23 and on Sunday it will be 21 degrees.
The Met Office predicts the weather to be: "Largely dry and bright to end the week, although with a strengthening easterly wind. Potentially turning warmer and more humid, with a risk of showers at times, mainly on Thursday."
The sunny weather comes days after the meteorological end of summer, which was on August 31. According to the astronomical calendar, however, summer will end on September 22.
