EVENTS including virtual reality film viewings will be taking place at Barrow Library and the town hall this month. 

Barrow Full, which champions arts and cultural activity in the peninsula, will be showcasing local creativity with Barrovian Tales and Barrovian Dreams. 

For Barrovian Tales, on Saturday September 14 Obscura Theatre will put on an evening of battery-powered candelit storytelling from local writers at the 'atmospheric' town hall. Tickets are £5 and the event starts at 7.30pm.

On Wednesday September 18 there will be Sinfonia: Stories from Barrow from the The Performance Ensemble which shares the stories, dreams and ambitions of older people in the town. This will take place at 1.30pm and 7.30pm at The Forum. 

Barrow Dreams is a project in three parts, themed around the past, present and future. The exhibition will launch on Saturday September 14 at Barrow Library at noon.

All three dreams projects will be exhibited during library opening hours between Saturday 14 and Monday 16 to Friday 20. This will include VR film viewings envisioning Barrow's future on every date except Wednesday 18th where it will take place at The Forum during the afternoon. 

Barrow Dreams will conclude with a procession and performance celebrating Barrovian women at noon on Saturday September 21.
