Grange Bakery has been making a name for itself in south Cumbria for years, with its site in Barrow on Ennerdale Drive earning the nomination.

Manager Tracey Foster said: "We are delighted to be nominated and reach the top 10 finalists, and are pleased our customers enjoy our food.

"Winning this award would be good for our business, showing recognition for our quality products, our continuous customer support and serving the community."

Tracey has been at the Barrow shop for 18 months, gaining a promotion to manager in the process, which has now seen the business taste even more success.

"I have a good team of staff who are my work family," she added.

"We pride ourselves in the community with handcrafted bread, a selection of pies, cakes and freshly made sandwiches with a choice of 18 different fillings."

Grange Bakery was established a century ago with the original shop showing its support for its sister site after the nomination.

The manager there commented: "We work very hard at Grange Bakery to supply greats products and it is lovely it hasn’t gone unnoticed.

"I'm sure our Barrow team is delighted to be nominated."
